Glenn McEwen is a registered auditor and has over twenty years business experience developed through a range of external audit/compliance and business advisory roles in public practice. Glenn is a Chartered Accountant and was admitted to the profession in 1999.
Glenn joined Kevin J Thomas & Co in 1995 and has significant experience in service industries, in particular finance having been the audit manager for a number of credit unions and non-profit organisations and societies for over 10 years, as well as servicing a broad range of medium to large organisations.
Throughout his career Glenn has been responsible for a range of statutory and specialist audit assignments, together with process improvement reviews, risk management, computer system and fraud reviews. Glenn is also a representative on the National Committee of the Australian Financial Institutions Auditors' Association.
Lucas commenced his career in 1992 with Arthur Anderson. After having completed a degree in Economics he was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1998.
After gaining initial experience with Arthur Anderson, Lucas took the opportunity to broaden his experience by working in general practice with Brian Thomas in 1994 and went into partnership with Brian in 1998. In 2007, Lucas joined with Christine Andrews and Glenn McEwen as founders of a new practice Thomas GLC.
As a business partner with over 15 years industry experience with a diverse range of clients in many industries, he has gained knowledge in many areas of taxation and business financial reporting, needs for compliance, banking, performance appraisal and selling businesses.
Working with both small and medium business in a range of corporate structures with a hands on consultative approach, Lucas has worked on a number of special projects with clients including due diligence, business valuation, management committee services, employee remuneration and bonus schemes and helps business owners and finance teams better understand what their businesses financial numbers mean.
